Mark Keating (mdk): Advertise Further
Refreshing the Perl AdServer I would like to encourage the further development of the Perl Ad Server. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it is an initiative by Gabor Szabo to bring community elements to a broader audience by a series of li [...]
chromatic: What Testing DSLs Get Wrong
A conversation between the owners of ClubCompy about language design, syntax errors, and testing led to an interesting exchange (lightly edited for coherence): How do you go about testing order of operations and languages? You need a minimal test dri [...]
Tadeusz Sośnierz (tadzik): Asynchronous HTTP requests in Perl 6
Inspired by http://oylenshpeegul.typepad.com/blog/2012/03/asynchronicity.html, I decided to tackle asynchronous HTTP requests in Perl 6 on Rakudo. Allowing this required a bit of hacking on MuEvent, and the changes are far too ugly and hacky to be re [...]

My pluginbundle for Dist::Zilla includes, among other things, the Twitter plugin so I can brag on Twitter every time I release a module. Mysteriously, it broke one day. Looking at the code, I realized that it was sending my username and password to a [...]

YAPC::NA: The Secret Diary of a Small Perl Shop

Chris Prather will be giving a talk at YAPC::NA 2012 described as:

Most Perl developers are employed by large corporations, but many dream of what it would be like to strike out on their own. Tamarou is a company that has done just that, and we’re her [...]

Tokuhiro Matsuno: [tora]Toraのテストケースの書き方

C++ レベルでテストした方がいい部分は C++ でユニットテストを書きます。たとえばスキャナとか、Value 型の実装とかです。tests/test_foo.t というのがそれです。
